Workplace Interior Design
Taking our clients on a journey of transformation
WORKPLACE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This concept was developed for an expanding Devon-based house developer seeking a new headquarters that reflects both their ambition and their family-run ethos. The brief called for a workplace that would feel welcoming, professional and highly functional, while offering flexibility for future growth. The result is a contemporary office environment that balances practicality with warmth, creating a space that supports both day-to-day operations and client-facing experiences.
At the heart of the design is a large, inviting reception area, conceived as more than simply an arrival point. This welcoming first impression incorporates an informal multi-use café/bar space, intentionally adaptable, offering the client a multifunctional hub that can evolve throughout the day from informal meeting point to event setting.
Back of house, the office opens into a predominantly open-plan workspace ,designed to encourage collaboration and communication. A series of glazed offices and meeting rooms provide privacy where needed, while maintaining visual connectivity and an open, inclusive atmosphere.
Breakout spaces have been thoughtfully positioned throughout to create informal zones for conversation, teamwork and creative thinking, reinforcing the company’s friendly and approachable culture.
A dedicated café area further enhances the sense of teamwork and community within the workplace. Designed as a relaxed social setting, with integrated banquette seating and climbing planting acting as a backdrop to informal seating away from the formalities of the office setting.
The material palette draws heavily from the company’s branding, using confident accents of Mustard, deep Navy and rich Oxblood red, to create a bold and distinctive identity throughout the interior.
Terrazzo flooring with coloured flecks helps to ground the scheme, adding texture and movement. While a striking Oxblood feature wall with large curved openings, runs the length of the office space, acting as both a way finding element and an architectural statement.
Planting plays an integral role throughout the design, softening the architectural lines and bringing a natural sense of calm and vitality to the workplace. The ceilings have been left exposed and painted out, contributing to the contemporary, urban feel of the overall scheme.
Together, the design creates a workplace that is both practical and inspiring – an environment designed to support growth, celebrate the brand and foster a strong sense of community.
